I used to work (and still do!) as a magazine illustrator and maps of every kind became a specialism of mine; where to go, places to eat, shops to visit. Someone saw a map of West London that featured an illustration of their friend's wedding venue and they wanted to know if I could do a personalised map for their 30th birthday present. I loved the idea!
Working together, with a group of their friends, we developed a list of significant places, meaningful objects, key dates, words and phrases that would suitably and thoroughly represent the recipient of the map. My Bespoke Map Service was born!

By working closely with me, developing a brief and exploring ideas, your finished map will be completely unique and distinctive showing the quirks and individuality of the map recipient(s).
For more of a detailed look at the process from start to finish, including how to create your own brief, check out the Bespoke section of the website. You can download an enquiry form to start the process!
"Creating a personal map is one of my most enjoyable and fulfilling jobs. The response is always so positive and people get so excited about seeing their own lives remembered in an illustration." Rebecca Lea Williams, Illustrator.
